Mr. Buckland brings extensive CEO and Board leadership experience with businesses in six countries, ranging from startup enterprises to multinational corporations. His career spans diverse industries including capital equipment, clean-, low- and high-tech manufacturing, renewable energy, semiconductor, security, instrumentation, and distribution.

His entrepreneurial achievements earned him the prestigious recognition as “Entrepreneur of the Year”, co-sponsored by Ernst & Young, NASDQ, Sprint, Kauffman Fund and USA Today.

In addition to his extensive accomplishments as a business executive, Mr. Buckland has 25+ years’ experience serving on the boards of companies listed on the NYSE, OTC, TWSE, LSE, and NASDAQ, and 19 years’ experience on one privately-held company, and six venture/private equity businesses. He is a hands-on director adept at contributing to full board discussions involving corporate strategy review, sources of capital funding, global strategic alliances, international expansion, and CEO performance review.

Mr. Buckland has established an impressive record of leading businesses to new levels of financial, operational, and market success. Over his career, he has led the turnaround of seven businesses, yielding hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue growth and billion-dollar increases in book value. He has also led the completion of thirty-six mergers and acquisitions, valued at more than $1.45 billion, and has raised capital to fund the startup of nine companies.

Mr. Buckland earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BSEE from Syracuse University, and a Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors. He is a Canadian and American citizen who has lived abroad on business assignments in France, United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, Japan, Spain, and Italy. In addition to English, his mother tongue, Mr. Buckland is conversant in French, Italian, Dutch, and German.
